Marc Cartwright (born January 15, 1975), is an American celebrity portrait photographer who runs a photography studio based in Los Angeles, California. He is known for portraits of film and television actors.

Cartwright was born in Orange, New Jersey, and raised in Riverhead, New York.[1] In 1997, Cartwright graduated from New York University where he studied semantics and the relationship between media and society. During his last semester of attending NYU, Cartwright discovered photography through fulfilling an art requirement associated with his Bachelor of Science degree.[2] Cartwright appeared in commercials and print ads for such clients as Coca-Cola, Arrid and Tommy Hilfiger. In 2002, he appeared on the cover of Instinct's 5th anniversary issue,[citation needed] where he began paying particular attention to the production side of image making.[3]

Marc Cartwright's work has been published in magazines such as Details, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, OK! and People.[citation needed] Cartwright has appeared on MTV as a featured photographer and has photographed movie posters and DVD covers for various films.[1]
