Marc Kolb

Marc Kolb (born 1972) is an American Football Coach and former player. He is the architect of the Showtime Offensive system which has set around two dozen NCAA records. He has been an Offensive Coordinator for 19 seasons and coached for 22 years. He has coached at Curry College (1995–96), Framingham State University (1997), Fairfield University (1998-2001), University of Missouri at Rolla (2002-2006), Tusculum College (2007-2015) and Lindenwood University (2016).[1]

Personal life[edit]

Kolb and his wife Lisa are parents of three children. He is the son of Larry and Mary Kolb of South Carolina.

Kolb is a graduate of Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island) where he played Center for the Brown Bears from 1990-1994 and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology (December 1994).

Kolb is noted for coordinating record setting offenses. At Tusculum College, Kolb coached Bo Cordell to many NCAA records, including NCAA Division II all-time leader in total offensive yards in 2013.[4] Kolb has coached two Harlon Hill Trophy Finalists (Bo Cordell (2010 and 2013) and Corey Russel (2008) [5]

The record was broken twice while Coach Kolb was at Tusculum College... Deonte Gist (207 catches) & Rashaad Carter (210 catches) 2008-11 (5,468 yards). Justin Houston (322 catches) & Ken Funnye (180 catches) 2012-15 (5,160 yards).[8]
