Story[edit]

Marco Bicego is an Italian luxury jeweler. Marco’s father, Giuseppe Bicego, founded the Bicego Factory in 1958 in Trissino, Italy. Since 2000, when Marco decided to launch his own personal brand, he has incorporated the traditions and virtues passed down through family heritage to create jewelry that embodies the luxury of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design.

After working alongside his father, Marco launched his own brand based on these three key concepts:

  1. All the collections must be produced in the Headquarters in Italy under Marco’s personal direction.
  2. The hand engraving with the “bulino” (burin), which gives a characteristic and distinctive trait to the product, is fundamental for the aesthetic.
  3. Every jewel must be versatile for the everyday life, so to reflect the contemporary woman.

Made in Italy[edit]

The Marco Bicego Headquarters is a unique reality in today’s world of jewelry. Located in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, Trissino is a village close to historical cities such as Venice, Vicenza and Verona. Every piece of Marco Bicego jewelry is handcrafted in the Headquarters in Italy, where more than 100 trained and highly specialized artisans are employed; this ensures excellent quality and customer care services. Marco Bicego collections are only made in 18kt gold and every single step of the production is made in-house, even the gold fusion.

Craftsmanship[edit]

Every step of the production is done in-house. It all begins with the fusion of the 18kt gold. From there the piece begins to take shape by incorporating the signature hand engraving and coil techniques.

Bulino[edit]

The brand’s signature hand engraving is made with the traditional “bulino” technique: an ancient tool devised for the art of hand carving gives a fine, brushed texture to the gold.

Coil[edit]

The traditional coil was born when Marco was a young man spending time at his father’s factory. The coil is made from a thick strand of gold, which is then tightly wound with 18K gold “thread”. The resulting coil can be manipulated into various shapes and finishes.

Natural Gemstones[edit]

A bespoke mix of varying shades of precious gemstones is a signature Marco Bicego look. Natural Gemstones are combined to create one-of-a-kind pieces: no gemstone is alike so every piece of jewelry is unique.
