Marcus Herbert Hanel (born October 19, 1971 in Racine, Wisconsin, USA) is the bullpen catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.

Prior to his current position, Hanel played in the minor leagues from 1989 to 1999 in the Pittsburgh Pirates (1989–1997), Atlanta Braves (1998) and Arizona Diamondbacks (1999) systems. He played in 658 games, hitting .193 with 21 home runs and 171 RBI in 2,060 at-bats.[1] He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 18th round of the 1989 draft out of Horlick High School.

Marcus Hanel also has the nickname of 'Koos'. He, along with others, run a charity entitled Koos For Kids. It provides help for disadvantaged children. The charity has an annual dinner/auction which includes visits by several Milwaukee Brewers players.
