Nikolas (Niko) Buentello (born July 8, 1994) is an American professional baseball player for the Detroit Tigers organization. Drafted in the 18th round, first baseman, Niko Buentello signed with the Tigers in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.
Buentello attended Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas. He committed to the University of Oklahoma where he played his freshman year. Buentello transferred to Grayson Junior College in Sherman, Texas where he then committed to Auburn University where he played his junior year of college finishing with 11 home runs and 55 runs batted in.
Buentello is the son of Adolfo and Julie Buentello, and younger brother to Nathan Hale.
