Marcus Alex Stanley (born September 3, 1985) is an American pianist and composer.[1] He is best known for his work as pianist for gospel artists Damon Little,[2] Donnie McClurkin, and R&B singer Chris Brown. [3]

On April 2, 2004, two gunmen attacked Stanley in the northwestern District of Baltimore, Maryland.[4] He was shot eight times with a .45 caliber handgun at close range.[5] Stanley was able to call 911 and underwent surgery. He recalled the incident stating “I just remember hitting the ground and then when he stood over top of me that’s when I saw an angel.”[6]
