Colonel Mario Giuliacci (Città della Pieve, 29 November 1940) is an Italian meteorologist, TV personality and professor..[1]

Biography[edit]

Mario Giuliacci graduated in physics at La Sapienza university of Rome worked for the Servizio Meteorologico. From 1983 to 1990 he directed, as colonel, the Meteorological Center of Milan's Linate airport,[2]

From 1992 to 2010 he wrote the weather forecast column in the newspapers Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

From 1986 to 1993 he was a professor of Atmospheric Physics at the University of Milan and then, from 1994 to 2014, in Environmental Sciences at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

In 1992 he contributed to the foundation of the Epson Meteo Center, with which he collaborated until 2010 providing weather forecasts for Mediaset and various websites. In this capacity, from 1997 to 2010 he directed the weather forecasts of TG5, being joined by his son Andrea from 2002.[3]

He is professor of meteorology at the Istituto Aeronautico Antonio Locatelli in Bergamo[4]
