Mark Anthony Lontayao (born May 5, 1988), commonly known as Silver Voice, is the modern-day Filipino ring announcer[1] and a Youtuber.

Early career

Early in his life, Lontayao was a professor at the University of Makati, Theater and Arts department from 2014 to 2016. He was also a call center agent during the night.

Ring Announcing Career

Boxing

Mark Lontayao’s journey in boxing was inspired by watching a Manny Pacquiao fight. He was hooked upon seeing Pacquiao’s first world title fight in the United States when he beat the late Lehlohonolo “Lehlo” Ledwaba from South Africa for the IBF super-bantamweight title on June 23, 2001 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He became an amateur boxer along with his three brothers. The Lontayao brothers were under the tutelage of Joven Jimenez, coach and manager of a boxing world champion Jerwin Ancajas. Interestingly, Coach Jimenez found Mark’s timbre to be ring-announcer material and encouraged him to consider turning professional in announcing fights.[2]

Mark Lontayao is currently the official Ring Announcer for the boxing promotion MP owned by Boxing Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao and the appointed president Sean Gibbons.

Notable Boxing Events

Mark Lontayao also announced the world title fight:

Pedro Taduran vs. Samuel Salva fight in Dubai in March 2022.

Pedro Taduran vs. Rene Mark Cuarto fight in the Philippines.

Jerwin Ancajas vs. McJoe Arroyo fight in Jurado Hall, Taguig, Philippines on September 3, 2016
