Mark Gillespie (born August 30, 1981) is a manager of major entertainment and recording artists. He serves as CEO of the multimedia management company Three Six Zero. Under Three Six Zero, he has managed major recording artists including Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson, Kelis, and Jessie Ware.[1][2][3][4]

Life and career[edit]

Mark Gillespie grew up in Redditch, just south of Birmingham, England. As a teenager in the mid-’90s, he developed his passion for electronic music as a record collector and amateur DJ. From there, he became a promoter for Birmingham’s legendary superclub Godskitchen. Within a couple of years, Gillespie was assigned to pick out emerging DJ talent, while also building websites, launching digital marketing campaigns, and acting as a talent liaison.[5]

In 2007, Gillespie co-founded Three Six Zero.[6][7] His first client signed to Three Six Zero was Calvin Harris[8]. In 2014, Gillespie's company teamed with Warner Music Group to launch a new label and publishing arm, signing Miami electronic music act GTA, the Australian duo Cut Snake and Los Angeles singer-songwriter Anabel Englund. Gillespie's publishing division, launched through the partnership with Warner/Chappell, is called Three Six Zero Publishing.

In 2015, Gillespie partnered with Jay-Z, Jay Brown, and Roc Nation to create Three Six Zero Entertainment. This venture used Gillespie's Three Six Zero name as neutral territory to help Roc Nation branch into film and entertainment while still maintaining its music brand name.[9]

In 2019, Gillespie collaborated with Miguel Melendez to acquire Will Smith's Management Firm, Westbrook Entertainment.
