Christopher S. Jeyarajah.[1], better known as Chris Jey, is a Canada event and club promoter from Sri Lanka.

Personal life[edit]

Chris also known as "King Of nightlife"[2][3], was born on the 11th November 1970, in Sri Lanka, before relocating to Canada from England. While he was in High school[2] in England, he started event planning and had his first gig in High School. In 2012, Chris founded BMW Promotion[4][5][3], a company and agency known for artist booking, talent management, event planning, and promotion in Canada.

Career[edit]

Under his imprint "BMW Promotion", Chris has worked with the likes of[6] Cardi B, Boyz II Men, Tyga, Lil Kim, Chris Brown, Drake, Ace Hood, Snoop Dogg, DJ Drama, French Montana, Juicy J, among others. His profession, as a event planner, marketer, creative director, A&R and event promoter has increased his influence also in Afrobeats[7] across Europe and North America. In 2020, during his tour to Nigeria, he spoke to Segun Adebayo of Nigerian Tribune on how Afrobeat has become the world focus for African music[8] and his plans on touring Canada with some of its pioneers and influencers from Nigeria "Davido & Tiwa Savage" right after the pandemic.
