Mark Gottlieb (born August 4, 1987) is a literary agent in New York City at the Trident Media Group literary agency.

Early life[edit]

He was born in New York City to a literary agent and Chairman of Trident Media Group, Robert Gottlieb. Gottlieb was raised in the town of Scarsdale, and from an early age, showed a big interest in his father’s work. He graduated with a degree in writing, literature and publishing at Emerson College, where Mark was founding member and President of Undergraduate Students for Publishing Club, where he oversaw its first publication under the Wilde Press imprint.[1][2][3]

Career[edit]

His first work was as assistant to the Vice President of the Berkley imprint at Penguin.[3] Later he joined the Trident Media Group in the foreign rights department, and next assuming as audio rights agent.[citation needed]

Later, Gottlieb began to build his own client list of writers,[4][5] working directly with authors; Gottlieb ranked # 1 in Publisher Marketplace in Overall Deals category.[6]

Gottlieb regularly participates in events and conferences throughout USA.[7][8]
