Mark Maged Riad (born 28 January 2002), known professionally as Marko Meko, is an Egyptian DJ and record producer recognized for his contributions to the Melodic Techno genre.
Biography
Marko Meko was born in Moharam Bek, Alexandria, Egypt, and attended Saint Vincent de Paul School. He developed an early interest in music and began DJing at the age of 16 using Virtual DJ software on his laptop.[1] His parents gifted him DJ decks for his 18th birthday, which marked the start of his professional career.[2]
At 19, Meko secured his first residency as a warm-up DJ at Aladdin Restaurant & Lounge Bar in Marsa Alam. He continued performing in lounges and bars across Marsa Alam and Hurghada, gaining recognition within Egypt's electronic music scene.[3]
Meko's breakthrough came in 2023 when he performed alongside DJ Kayz at Mamma Mia Beach, Hurghada.[4] In 2024, his live DJ set from Space Island, Egypt, gained widespread acclaim, showcasing his unique style and innovative approach to Melodic Techno.[5]
