Markus Frind (born 29 May 1979) is a German internet entrepreneur, and the founder of PlentyofFish (POF),[1] the world's biggest dating website.[2]

Markus Frind was born in Donauwörth in Bavaria.[3]
Career[edit]
PlentyofFish[edit]
Frind founded PlentyofFish in 2003 after teaching himself ASP.NET. He began taking on employees in 2007, and sold the company in 2015 to IAC for $575m in cash. In July 2015 PlentyofFish had 90 million registered users.[4]
Personal life[edit]
Frind's personal wealth is estimated at around $500m.[5]
