Marri Adithya Reddy is an Indian Politician from Hyderabad in the state of Telangana India. He has been active both at the Telangana state level and national level politics in India. He is the son of four times MLA Sanathnagar Marri Shashidhar Reddy and the grandson of the Marri Chenna Reddy. Dr Marri Chenna Reddy. was two times Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and governor to four states (Punjab, TamilNadu, UP and Rajasthan) in India across his political career.
Family and early life[edit]
Aditya Reddy was born in Hyderabad on 3rd October and is the son of Marri Shashidhar Reddy and Indira Reddy. He is the grandson of Marri Chenna Reddy. Adithya completed his schooling from Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet in 1990.
Adithya Reddy holds an MBA degree from the USA.
Political Career[edit]
Marri Adithya Reddy joined Indian National Congress following his family legacy of his father and grandfather and was last elevated to the post of Secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
Marri Adithya Reddy recently quit Indian National Congress and joined Telangana Jana Samithi Party headed by M. Kodandaram on August 26, 2018.[1][2] [3] [4] [5] [6][7]. Adithya was inspired by Prof. Kodandaram’s work for Telangana. Interestingly, he joined the party in the same office that was once the headquarters of Telangana Praja Samithi (TPS) founded by his grandfather for spearheading the Telangana movement in the late 60s[8].

Adithya M Reddy is former CEO of an Infotech Consulting Company and has experience in eGovernment Solutions including Policy, Private Public Partnership models, Rural Agritechnology, Food Processing and Consulting, Education, Rural Development, Urban Planning and Healthcare, Renewable Energy[9].
Marri Chenna Reddy Foundation[edit]
He also serves as the chairman of Marri Chenna Reddy foundation which has taken several steps in the field of farmer education, women empowerment, developing skills for employment, climate change and urban infrastructure. [10] [11]
Hyderabad Public School[edit]
He is the member of the Managing Committee of the Hyderabad Public School society.[12]. And as part of the committee, he has been influential in expanding HPS to other campuses ( HPS Warangal in 2016) [13] across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and facilitating the creation of incubation center for the students [14].
Pothole selfie Contest[edit]
To showcase the lack of urban infrastructure and deplorable road condition in Hyderabad, Adithya created a Pothole selfie contest(Potography) in 2017 where citizens were asked to share on social media selfie with potholes with funny captions[15] [16] [17].The contest invited participants to send in photographs of potholes on the roads of Hyderabad city with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 for the worst pothole picture. The contest was further replicated in other states by other political parties like Rashtriya Lok Dal(RLD) in October 2018 in the state of Uttar Pradesh [18]
