Mars Hill Community Church is an American non-denominational community church located in the Lost Mountain neighborhood of Cobb County, Georgia, located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The church was founded in 1997 by Tom Gray, who still currently serves there as Senior Pastor.[1] The church has a Powder Springs address.
History[edit]
Initially called The Church at West Cobb,[2] the congregation started out with eleven people meeting in the living room of Tom and Dana Gray.[3] Eventually, the church moved to the cafeteria at Still Elementary School and hosted approximately 35 people on the first Sunday at that location.[3] In 2012, Mars Hill Community Church bought a campus on Mars Hill Road that formerly belonged to nearby Lost Mountain Baptist Church.
