Early life[edit]
Slajerova was born in Slaný, Czech Republic and attended the University of Economics, Prague where she graduated with an economics degree.[7][8]
Career[edit]
In 2011, Slajerova was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, prompting a revised diet low in carbohydrates, moderate in protein and high in fat.[9][10] Starting in 2011, she developed recipes and wrote about her experiences and cooking on the KetoDiet blog.[11] She authored her first book “The KetoDiet Cookbook” and published through Fair Winds Press in 2015.[12] In 2012, she and partner Nikos Konstas developed the KetoDiet app, available in iTunes Store and on Google Play.[13] Her cooking has been featured in Women’s Health, Cosmopolitan magazine, BuzzFeed, and Glamour magazine, among others.[7][14]
