Gurpareet Bains is an Anglo-Indian chef and Nutritionist.[1] His first book - Indian Superfood - was released in July 2010, published by Absolute Press.[2]
Biography[edit]
Gurpareet Bains is originally from Bedford, but now lives in London.[3] Bains first became interested in cooking as a child.[4] He was educated at Stratton Upper School, Biggleswade, and studied A Levels in Politics and Sociology at Bedford College.[5]
Early career[edit]
After college, Bains ventured to Australia, where he studied hospitality.[5] He ended up running his own restaurant - Planet Bollywood - in Marmaris,[4] and acting as an international culinary consultant for the Mövenpick chain of hotels.[4][5]
In 2006, Bains hosted his own show - Chef's Special - on Raj TV,[6] Sky Channel 187,[7]
