Rafik Zalibeki Martirosyan ( Armenian: Մարտիրոսյան Ռաֆիկ Զալիբեկի, 1 January 1935- May 28 2021) was an Armenian Microbiologist, Candidate in Biological sciences (1969) and associate professor (1988), member of scientific council of Armenian National Agrarian University.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Rafik Martirosyan was born in 1935 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He graduated from Yerevan Zoo - Veterinary Institute[1](1953- 1958), was awarded a PHD (1973) in Microbiology from Yerevan Zoo - Veterinary Institute[2]. He took courses at[3] The Moscow State Academy of Veterinary and Biotechnology named after K.I.Skryabin.
He was learning French language in Moscow (1973- 1974), and was sent as an invited biologist to Sudan to work in a veterinary laboratory (1975- 1978). He worked as a head of Microbiology Department in Algeria Hydro reclamation Institute ( 1979- 1981).
Since 1988, he was an associate professor at Armenian National Agrarian University.

- 1979- 1981- Head of Microbiology Department in Algeria Hydro reclamation Institute.
- 1988- Associate professor in Microbiology and Virology.
- 1988- 2020 - Associate professor at Armenian National Agrarian University.
- 2003- 2005- Head of Microbiology Department at Armenian National Agrarian University[4]

Publications[edit]
Martirosyan R.Z. is the author of 33 scientific works and methodological instructions. After defending the candidate's thesis, he published 28 works, including 12 scientific articles and 16 methodological instructions.Scientific research deals with determining the sensitivity of microbes to different antibiotics.
