Maryen Cairns

Maryen Cairns is a Scottish-born Australian folk-pop singer and musician from Sydney, based in Guernsey in the Channel Islands.[1][2] She has released 7 albums and worked with English musician and the Rolling Stones' producer Chris Kimsey as well as a long association with Scottish singer Fish, formerly of Anglo-Scottish rock band Marillion, as a backing vocalist. She began writing songs at 13 years old.[3] She released her album Stories from the Red Tent in 2012 and her song "Homebirth" from the album is her most popular song on YouTube. She released Femina Australis in 2016[4] as a concept album. She released her album Anew in 2022,[5] not to be confused with Japanese rock band Radwimps' album Anew from 2025. She released her album Stories from Beneath in 2004. She released her song "Kids from the 'Burbs" in 2024.[6]
