Hirak Hemant Bhattara

Hirak Hemant Bhattarai (Born October 2, 1993 ) is an Australian singer, songwriter and son of award winning Nepalese singer Hemant Sharma[1]. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, he started playing guitar when he was 16 years old and then started taking vocal lesson with his father[2]. In 2015 Hirak moved to Australia with his brother, Hardik Hemant Bhattarai, to study.[3] His career debut the album "A New Hope" was released on April 2017. It is an electro-soul album. Hirak is known for solo live performances in Nepal[4], where he also used to perform with his brother.

Biography[edit]

Hirak was born in Kathmandu in 1993 to parents Hemant Sharma and Ritu Silwal.[5] He was raised in Nepal where he learned vocals with his father and gave solo performances and performances with his brother.[3] He is currently studying music at Berkely affiliate JMC Academy in Sydney, Australia, where he records and performs.[5]

Hirak is known for his unique sound that fuses soul and electronica[7] He is an accomplished singer and songwriter, with proper knowledge of guitar and keys. His style impressed United by Chaos Records who also released the album from their net label[8].He produces and mixes the electronic elements that are indicative of his style.[9][7]
