Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts is a charter school in Marysville, California serving approximately 300 students between grades 7-12 in the Marysville Joint Unified School District.
Academics[edit]
The school's curriculum emphasizes literary, visual, and performing arts.[1] It offers AP courses as well as gifted and talented programs.[2] As of 2024, both reading and math performance were above expectations.[3]
Students have been known to participate in public showings of their art.[4]
Awards[edit]
MCAA was on the 2021 list of California Distinguished Schools after improving 15 points or more on the Mathematics indicator for socioeconomically disadvantaged students.[5] As of January 2024, niche.com rated it as the top public high school in Yuba County.[2]
In 2023, an MCAA freshman won the Congressional Art Competition.[6]
