Massimo Brian Da Costa (born in Bangalore 21 April 1947) is an Italian cricketer.[1] One of Italy's all-time greatest cricketers, he made his debut in Italy's first cricket match during their 1984 tour of England.[2] Representing Italy for over a decade, he last played for the National team at the 1997 ICC Trophy in Malaysia, picking up 2 wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs against East and Central Africa.[3]

His ESPN Crickinfo profile, written before the 1997 ICC Trophy, reads Italy's all-time greatest cricketer is deservedly closing his international career with the ICC Trophy. Still the fittest man in the team and the best man in the outfield. He is the team's leading spinner, bowls slow left arm and is a devastating lower-order hitter[4]

He has been awarded by the Italian National Olympic Committee the Medaglia di bronzo in 2013 as an Athlete.[5]
