Massimo Brian Da Costa (born in Banglalore 21 April 1947) is an Italian cricketer.[1] One of Italy's all time greatest cricketers he made his debut in Italy's first cricket match during their 1984 tour of England.[2] Rappresented Italy for over a decade he last played for the National team at the 1997 ICC Trophy in Malaysia picking up 2 wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs against East and Central Africa.[3]
His ESPN Crickinfo profile written before the 1997 ICC Trophy reads Italy's all time greatest cricketer is deservedly closing his international career with the ICC Trophy. Still the fittest man in the team and the best man in the outfield. He is the team's leading spinner, bowlers slow left arm and is a devastating low order hitter[4]
He has been awarded by the Italian National Olympic Committee the Medaglia di bronzo in 2013 as an Athlete.[5]
