MasterPeace Bangladesh (Bengali: মাস্টারপিস বাংলাদেশ) is a grassroots movement that is accelerating peace education and multi-ethnic common traditional culture in Bangladesh. This organization is mostly working for the rural people in Bangladesh. Being the first South Asian MasterPeace club, it was founded in 2012.[1] Among the 29 clubs from 29 countries, MasterPeace Bangladesh was awarded the International Day of Peace 2012 Championship.[2] In August 2021, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Masterpeace Bangladesh collaboratively published a primer Nagri Hiki [ꠘꠣꠉꠞꠤ ꠢꠤꠇꠤ], to promote awareness of Sylheti Nagri.[3][4]
Events
In 2019, MasterPeace Bangladesh attended the Asian Youth Summit in Nepal with other countries including India, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.[5]
On the occasion of the International Day of Peace declared by the United Nations on September 21, Masterpeace Bangladesh arranged various cultural activities throughout the month. Following this, the Khasi community at Berenga Pan Punji in Shahbazpur, Barlekha celebrated the day with various cultural activities like songs, dances etc. A cultural program organized by Masterpeace Bangladesh Moulvibazar Regional Club in Putadhar was also held by the Manipuri community from the inhabited area in Dokkinvag, Moulvibazar.[6]
