Matata Corporation UK Limited[1] is a technology company based in London,[2] United Kingdom. It is closely tied to Matata Studio Indonesia, its sister company based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The two companies work closely together, with production and research done in Indonesia while strategy and distribution are run from London.

Collectively known as Matata, the companies produce mobile applications for leisure and education. Its first game, Eggward’s Lab was launched in 2015 and it managed to reach the Top 5 Board Games in South East Asia, the Netherlands, and Macau within the first month of its launch. Tandamata is Matata’s e-commerce division. On 20 September 2018, the company launched Bantu Belajar for Indonesian students.

Matata was founded in 2012 by three friends; Enrico Pitono (Chairman), who is running the London office, Irna Rasad (CEO) and Gunawan Pramono (R&D), both running the Jakarta office.

Matata was founded by three friends;[3]

1. Enrico Pitono, an ex-banker with 16 years experience with Citibank, N.A. Jakarta, PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Jakarta, OCBC Bank Singapore, and OCBC Bank London.

2. Irna Rasad, a start up specialist with experience in hospitality and operations - Scoops Jakarta, Kuekue Jakarta, and Subtitles Group.

3. Gunawan Pramono, a Java programmer and game enthusiast with experience in Xing Interactive, and an ex-national athlete for softball.

Eggward’s Lab - 2015  [edit]

Eggward’s Lab[4] is a match-3 free game distributed via the App Store and Google Play Store. Like its peer, Candy Crush and Bejeweled, the objective is to match the same objects in a row, which will then disappear and earn you points.[5] While the game play is similar to other match-3 games, the difference is in the characters that accompany the user while playing. There are 6 different

characters, all of them egg shaped, with different characteristics and power. Within a month of its launch, Eggward’s Lab reach the App Store’s Top 5 Board Games in South

East Asia, the Netherlands, and Macau.

Tandamata Indonesia - 2017  [edit]

Tandamata[6] is an online marketplace built to support Indonesian local entrepreneurs. It is a mobile application available on the App Store and Google Play designed for users to easily find and send

gifts. Tandamata is focused on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises by providing a low cost place for them to showcase their products and conduct transactions safely.

Bantu Belajar IPA 3 - 2018  [edit]

Bantu Belajar IPA 3[7][8] is a mobile app that works as a study aid to learn about science. It is the first installment of the Bantu Belajar Series that is in development at the time of writing.[9] Bantu Belajar IPA 3 specifically addresses students’ problem with learning Natural Science by making it fun and engaging. It is developed for 3rd graders and tested in several schools in Indonesia both public

and private.[10]
