Matt Beck (born October 5, 1968 in New York City, N.Y.) is an American musician best known for being the touring guitarist/multi-instrumentalist[1] for the band Matchbox Twenty as well as for solo artist Rob Thomas's band[2][3][4] (of which he is also the music director).[5] Earlier in his career, he was a member of Rod Stewart’s band and a member of Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories.[6] When not touring, he performs as a session musician and for television, film, commercials and Broadway shows.[7]
