Matt Flynn (Wisconsin politician)

Matt Flynn (born October 3, 1947) is a Wisconsin lawyer, author, and politician.[1] A graduate of the UW-Madison Law School, he served as Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin from 1981 to 1985,[2] and ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 1978, 1988, and 2004.[3] He ran in the 1986 Wisconsin Senate Race, losing in the Democratic primary to Ed Garvey, who in turn went on to lose the election.

In 2004, he was co-chair of John Kerry's Presidential Campaign in Wisconsin.[4]

Legal career[edit]

Flynn is a partner at Quarles & Brady of Milwaukee, the second-largest law firm in Wisconsin.[5]
