Matthew Russell (born February 13, 1991) is an American producer and singer best known as a member of the DJ trio Cheat Codes alongside Trevor Dahl and Kevin Ford. They went viral with their single "Sex" and have toured worldwide to Spain, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany.[1]
Early life[edit]
Matthew Russell was born on February 13, 1991 and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. His father was also a producer and singer-songwriter. He and Kevin Ford officially formed Cheat Codes, an EDM DJ trio in 2014, one year after Trevor Dahl began his career.
Career[edit]
Matthew's career began in 2004. In 2013, he, Kevin Ford, and Trevor Dahl joined the DJ trio Cheat Codes. They have teamed up with Kris Kross Amsterdam, indie pop prodigy Lostboycrow and Boehm, amongst others.[2] His group's song "Visions" had vocals from DJ Calvin Harris.[3]
