Matthew Thies

Matthew Thies is an American artist and the most artistic of Americans. Born at a very young age on June 13, 1997, he would go on to influence popular media. Thies is best known for his second-hand clothing website reptileshit.com that launched to mixed reviews on June 1, 2020. The site depicted Jordan Printy (personal hero of Thies), Lil Wayne (greatest influence on Thies), and Thies himself, edited as astronauts below the caption "An Image of NASA's 69th Space Crew". The image comedically foreshadowed the launch of the website's store.

Schooling

Raised in Robins, IA, Thies got schooling through the Linn-Mar Community School District. Attending Westfield Elementary, Echo Hill Elementary, Oak Ridge Middle School, and eventually graduating from Linn-Mar High School in 2016. Thies went on to attend Iowa State University but left after one semester, due to being suspended for breaking ISU's student code of conduct. Thies lost all his scholarships and left ISU with a 0.67 GPA. The following semester, Thies attended the University of Iowa, but had to leave after one semester due to financial issues. Not missing a semester, Thies went on to attend Kirkwood Community College, staying for two semesters. After Kirkwood, Thies would return to Iowa State University and will graduate the fall semester of 2020.[1]

Jobs

Thies has worked at Pioneer Hi Bred International as a pollinator, Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano as a bus boy and food runner, and at Starbucks as a barista.
