Matthew Vaughan (born September 17, 1964) is an English actor of film and television. He was born in Mexborough, South Yorkshire.
Vaughan made his first onscreen appearances during the early–1990s with his appearances in a series of direct-to-TV films. However it was Vaughan's role as Michael Feldmann in the long-running ITV soap opera Emmerdale that launched him to fame. Vaughan maintained his role as Michael Feldmann in the show for four years before being written out and exiting the show in an episode airing on 16 June 1994.
Although he made no recorded onscreen appearances for little over a decade Vaughan did appear as a character named Dave in three episodes of the television series Sugar Rush during 2005.
In 2010 Vaughan, following a sixteen–year–long absence from the show, reprised his role as Michael Feldmann in the soap opera Emmerdale. He was reintroduced by series producer Gavin Blyth to take part in a storyline involving his former stepfather Eric Pollard. He left the show again on 4 January 2011.
