Club career[edit]

Mau played for 12 years from 1999 to 2011 for Tuvalu A-Division club Tofaga A. In 2012 he joined Lami All Whites FC, a club from the second division in Fiji. Since April 2013 he played for the Fijian club Addisbrough FC, which participates in the Local League competition in Suva.[2]

International career[edit]

Mau made his debut with Tuvalu at the South Pacific Games 2003 in Fiji, in the match won 3–2 against Kiribati on June 30. Mau featured in all Tuvalu's matches in the competition.

Mau played again with the team four times at the 2007 South Pacific Games in Samoa, where Tuvalu managed to draw 1–1 with current Oceania champions Tahiti.[3]

In 2008 Mau was part of the Tuvalu national futsal team in the Oceanian Futsal Championship, where the team lost all six games, with the same result at the 2010 Championship.[4]

In 2011, he led the Tuvaluan football team to their 4–0 victory over American Samoa, Tuvalu's biggest win ever. In 2011, he represented his country again in the South Pacific Games as a captain against Vanuatu,[5] New Caledonia,[6] and Guam.[7]
