Max Season (born Maxime Souveton on 27 July 1996 in Saint-Étienne, France) is a French music producer, composer and sound designer. He creates conceptual instrumental projects, each with its own identity and visual universe, and has released the EPs Expeditions (Volume 1), Cycles (2025) and Phobias. He also composes the music of the video game Oaths of Light.[1]

Conceptual projects

  • Expeditions (Volume 1) (EP, 5 December 2025, Ciel Noir) – five tracks; his first conceptual release.[2]
  • Cycles (2025) (EP, 20 March 2026, Ciel Noir) – four tracks built around the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).[3]
  • Phobias (EP, 28 August 2026, Ciel Noir) – three tracks (Vertigo, Locked Up, Abyss), each translating a specific phobia into sound.[4]

Video game music

Since 2020 Max Season has composed the music for Oaths of Light, a fantasy role-playing game developed by the independent studio ASM Games, working with the team from the first prototype onwards.[5]

Content for music technology brands

Since 2017 he has created content for music technology companies such as Arturia and Best Service, presenting software instruments, plug-ins and sample libraries to an audience of musicians and producers.[6]

Tools for creators

Alongside his music, Max Season develops software and online services for musicians and audio professionals:

  • Wavclub – an online marketplace he founded, where music creators license their loops and sell composition services, with an automatic contract and a clear split of rights on each sale.[7]
  • PluginFinder – a website that recommends audio plug-ins (virtual instruments, sample libraries, mixing and mastering tools) from partner catalogues through a short series of questions.[8]
  • MidiKino – a browser-based tool that turns beats, loops and tracks into seamlessly looping music videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. The visuals are generated from the audio and, optionally, its MIDI file, with more than 100 visual styles such as piano rolls, falling notes, sheet music and 3D scenes; videos are rendered on the user's device. It is published by Ciel Noir.[9]
  • Buss Studio (Buss Audio) – an audio sharing and review platform for recording studios, available on the web and iOS. It centralises listening, time-stamped comments, versioning and delivery of audio projects, with shareable links that do not require an account.[10]
