Background
Reynolds is a Scottish native who currently resides in the United States. After leaving home and school at age 15 with no qualifications, she was known as a social nuisance. She was given the chance to work in the offshore oil and gas industry in her late teens, eventually earning a degree in Underwater Robotics and another in Computer Science, the latter gained long distance. This allowed her to be headhunted and she moved to Australia to join a Cyber Security Team and became a certified hacker.
Later, she relocated back to the United States of America and started a business that provided high net worth, high profile individuals with cyber security in order to protect their privacy.
More recently, Maxie specializes in social engineering, working with Christopher Hadnagy and his team on red team engagements. She is also a highly sought after public speaker on ethical hacking, social engineering and will sometimes comment on quantum computing as a field of interest.
Reynolds has been a consultant to government departments worldwide and is an active member within the cyber security community.
In 2019, Reynolds got involved in consulting and producing for Hollywood studios in the Los Angeles area, where she assists writers in producing authentic, legitimate cyber security/hacking and social engineering-based scenes for their shows or films.
Bizarrely, Reynolds was also touted to be Top Gear's next host in 2015[1] after Jeremy Clarkson was fired from the show.
In 2019, she released a book detailing called A Guide to Surviving Childhood.[2]
