Maxwell Gil (born 11 January 1998) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper. He is currently a Free Agent.

Early Life[edit]
Born in Hong Kong, Gil moved to Benalmádena,Spain at the age of 3, and played youth football with PDM Benalmadéna. Gil moved to Canada at age 8 and finished his youth years with the Victoria Capitals and Vancouver Island Wave.
Career[edit]
Gil grew up playing for Victoria Capitals and Vancouver Island Wave[1] during his childhood years in Canada. As a teenager, he played for the Vancouver Island Wave youth program, and represented British Columbia[2] from ages 14-16[3], before joining Victoria Highlanders, aged sixteen. He left Victoria at sixteen and set his ambitions on Europe and went on trial with several European clubs, including Fulham FC, Motherwell FC, and Bristol City. He returned to the UK in October 2018 to spend time with EFL League 2 side Newport County AFC. He holds both Canadian and Spanish citizenship.
