Mayadevi School, often referred to as MDS, is a government public school in Nepal. It is located in Kanpur village of Madi Municipality, Sankhuwasabha, about 70 kilometres south-east from Khadbari (district headquarter of Sankhuwasabha). It is named after the Mayadevi Khola (stream) which is located nearby.

History[edit]

Mayadevi School was established in 1973 (2030 BS) as a primary school. The first batch of students took the Secondary Education Exam (SEE) in 2077 B.S.

Overview[edit]

The school is a fully government community school for students from first grade to tenth grade, aged 5 to 15.

The school operates one courses of study:

  1. Secondary Education Examination (SEE) level (a nationwide curriculum up to class 10 prescribed by the Department of Education of Nepal),

The present head teacher of the school is Mr. Khadga Bahadur Khatri. There are currently Ast. Head Teacher in the school; Mr. Krishna Bahadur Karki.
