Medebra is an American maker of post-surgical bras and vests, as well as Mastectomy Kits. It offers a support garment intended to fit the needs of individuals who have had medical procedures including Breast Reduction, Breast Lift, Augmentation, Lumpectomy, Mastectomy, and Chest Surgery (General Thoracic).[1] Many breast surgeons, cosmetic specialists, and patients have expressed that Medebra has better clinical quality than other clothing and provides dignity and comfort during recovery from various medical conditions.[2]
Medebra Patent
Medebra Mastectomy Bra Kit (US. Patent 8,696,403) is a multi-use, gender-neutral, reimbursable, and durable medical equipment consisting of the features needed after post-breast surgery and beyond. It includes adjustable straps extending in length and a releasable strap design used as a resource for ports and chest catheters. The easy-access strap is designed not to dig under the patient's port, offering a padded area that provides protection and reduces the risk of infections.[3][4] Soft Velcro is tool and die cut, providing comforting dignity. It includes a set of prosthetics and a pillow, sending women a set of adjustable breasts for secondary healing. Prosthetics are multi-use, replacing cardio-thoracic pillows by placing them inside the garment, aiding in coughing and clearing lungs. Pain control material absorbs moisture and flushes fluids properly after trauma. A pocket design holds other prosthetics post-healing, a set of removed drain pouches, and a body design under the arm to come above removed lymph nodes and below sutures for breast reductions.[5][6][7][8]
History
Medebra was founded by Kim Paucek Haley after she was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago and underwent surgery.[9]
