Media Mantra Group is an Indian public relations and integrated communications firm headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. It was founded in 2012 by Udit Sagar Pathak and Pooja Pathak.[1] The firm provides services encompassing corporate communications, reputation management, media relations, and digital strategy for both emerging businesses and established enterprise clients.

History

Media Mantra was established in 2012 as a two-person operation based in the Delhi National Capital Region.[2] As its client portfolio expanded, the firm created specialised verticals, including a dedicated division titled "Start-up Mantra", structured to provide media visibility, investor relations positioning, and market credibility for early-stage companies.[3]

In 2019, PRovoke Media (then the Holmes Report) ranked the firm as the ninth fastest-growing public relations agency globally and the second fastest-growing in the Asia-Pacific region.[4] The firm was included in PRovoke Media's Fast Movers index again in 2020.[5]

In 2024, the company completed its initial international expansion by opening a branch in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving as its primary operational hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market.[6]

Operations

The firm operates domestic branches in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, in addition to its headquarters in Gurugram. Its international presence includes the Dubai office established in 2024.

Media Mantra executes communications campaigns across crisis management, stakeholder engagement, influencer marketing, and brand positioning.[7] The agency maintains dedicated internal divisions managing accounts within the automotive and technology hardware sectors.[8]

In 2020, the agency managed public relations campaigns for technology platform SEMrush, adventure tourism company Jumpin Heights, and bilateral diplomatic campaigns involving the Saudi Arabian government.[9]

The company introduced an internal human resources programme called "MM Cares", a flexible leave policy addressing employee mental health requirements and personal contingencies across its workforce.

Organizational Structure

In June 2022, Rahul Mehta was appointed Chief Executive Officer, with a mandate covering internal operations and market positioning across the Asia-Pacific region.[10][11]

The 2024 expansion into the MENA market required digital localisation, prompting the recruitment of a UAE-based influencer marketing lead.[12]

Recognition

Global

PRovoke Media included Media Mantra in its Fast Movers growth rankings in both 2019 and 2020.[13][14] The agency has also received recognition at the SABRE Awards South Asia.[15]

Domestic

The firm was named "Mid-Size PR Consultancy of the Year" at the 2020 Fulcrum Awards.[16] It subsequently received the "Large PR Consultancy of the Year" award at the 2024 India PR and Corporate Communications Awards (IPRCCA), organised by Exchange4media, reflecting its structural growth over the intervening years.[17]

The agency received campaign-specific recognition at the ET BrandEquity Kaleido Awards in 2019, 2020, and 2023.[18] The 2020 awards specifically recognised campaigns in the "Professional Services", "Travel & Tourism", and "Public/Government Sector" categories.[19] Additional honours have been awarded at the Campaign India PR Awards (2023),[20] the Fulcrum Awards,[21] and the BW Excel Awards.[22]

Individual Recognition

Co-founders Udit Sagar Pathak and Pooja Pathak have both been listed on Exchange4media's "Top 100 Influential Game Changers" index. In 2021, Reputation Today included Pooja Pathak in its list of the 100 most important professionals in the Indian public relations industry.[23]
