Media Panache Nigeria is a Public Relations and digital media agency situated in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded in 2016 by Timilehin Bello.
Background[edit]
In March 2016, Timilehin Bello a former PR Executive with BlackHouse Media, a Nigerian public relations consulting firm, founded and commenced operations on a new PR firm, Media Panache Nigeria, via Whatsapp with a total number of six staff. In May 2016, operations were moved to an office space situated at Abisogun Leigh, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos.[1]
The agency has since worked with a number of personalities in Nigeria and the United States, including American TV magazine program; Turning Point, on-air personality Yaw, Nollywood actress Fathia Balogun, Korede Bello, Mercy Aigbe, Funny Bone, Bash, Right Entertainment, Emperor Baywood Ibe, Ossy Achievas, Alibaba, MTN Foundation, Simplified Corporate Logistics, Bunmi Davies, Solidstar, WFM, Bank of Industry, Billionaire Bet, and a host of others.[2]
Media Panache has also handled the briefs for some major Nigerian concerts and festivals, including OLIC; an annual concert by Olamide, 3 Thrones, Alibaba’s January 1st Concert, One Africa Music Festival conference, the maiden edition of Ile-Ife’s historical and cultural festival; Otisese and others exerting both traditional and new media in executing its services.
A New Dawn for Naija[edit]
On December 31, 2016, Media Panache released photos from a photo shoot featuring the staff and management of the company, tagged #ANewDawnForNaija, the photos portray an analogy of the hardship Nigerians encountered in 2016, whilst passing across a message of hope, resilience and prosperity for the New Year; 2017.[3]
Shot by celebrity photographer Shola Animashaun,[4] the photos quickly made the rounds across entertainment and news platforms, as well as social media; trending for hours on Twitter. The photos have since been described as positive and empathetic, while others described it as a poignant reminder of the hardship Nigeria has faced.
Inspire Youngsters[edit]
In January 2017, Media Panache began a campaign tagged #InspireYoungsters; aimed at imbuing school kids with moral and social ethics in a contemporary age. The campaign is targeted at secondary schools in Lagos State, with the plan to visit over 14 schools within the Lagos metropolis. The agency kicked off the campaign on the 19th of January, 2017 with Christ the King International School situated at Gbagada; where the CEO Timilehin Bello spoke to the children on a number of issues including the appropriate use of social media.[5]
