Megan Herring (born 6 July 2004) is a British puppeteer who has worked on Muppet and Jim Henson's Creature Shop projects with her family.
Early life and career
Megan was born on 6 July 2004 in England, she is the second of the Herring Kids and a daughter of two puppeteers Brian and Nikki Herring. Megan became the female blonde-haired puppeteer in England.
During a public show one month after Megan was born, her father carried her while at Cancún, Mexico. Megan was close to the ocean and the incident sparked comparisons in the press to Michael Jackson dangling his son, Prince Michael Jackson II, outside a German hotel window.
In 2010, Herring appeared alongside her family and had a film debut in All Shook Up (2010).
Herring helped her father perform as BB-8.
In 2013, Herring was 9 years old. She and her father Brian were awarded two dolls.
Michael Grade and Michael Linnet presented Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and the Herrings (Brian Herring and his daughters Victoria, age 15, Megan, age 12, Rebecca, age 7 and Alexis, age 3) with four sets of tap shoes during the Opening Night Royal Gala performance of "42nd Street" in aid of the East Anglia Children's Hospice at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on April 4, 2017 in London, England.
