Mehran Haghighi (born in 1958, Tehran) is an Iranian-American film producer.
Career[edit]
He began his career in film industry in 1991 by co-founding Behnegar, a production and distribution company in Iran. Haghighi was involved in producing several fiction feature, documentary, and short films among recipient of the Caméra d'Or at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival and Bab’Aziz: The Prince Who Contemplated His Soul, recipient of the Best Feature Film at the Muscat International Film Festival.
In 2016, Mehran Haghighi established Homa Films, a USA-based production company focusing on producing films that showcase Iranian history, art, and culture. The films are resources in the field of Iranian studies to raise awareness and appreciation of Iran’s heritage.
