Mehran Ranjbar (born June 5, 1982) is an Iranian playwright, theater director, actor, and filmmaker. He is best known for his monographic theatrical works focusing on prominent historical and cultural figures. He has written and directed over 29 theatrical productions and is considered a significant figure in contemporary Iranian theater.
Early life and education
Ranjbar was born in Khorramabad, Iran. He began acting at the age of 14 and later studied Dramatic Literature at the bachelor's level and Comparative Philosophy at the master's level. At age 19, he moved to Tehran to pursue his professional career in theater and film.
Theater career
Ranjbar made his stage debut with the play The Blind War directed by Behrouz Gharibpour. His most notable productions include:
