Farhad Aeish

Farhad Ayish (; born September 18, 1952) is an Iranian actor, writer and theater director. He won the Crystal Simorgh, for Best Supporting Actor at the Fajr Film Festival in 1964 for his role in the film Killing a Traitor.

Life

Ayish was born in 1952 in Shemiran; she was originally from the city of Abadeh and received her primary and secondary education in Tehran. Some years later, he studied filmmaking and photography iin England and then the United States. Eventually, she shifted her focus to theater. Ayish spent years living in the U.S. and Berlin, Germany, where she directed and acted in over 30 plays in both Persian and English. She returned to Iran in 1997 after 27 years abroad. A collection of her plays was published.
