Melinda Hughes
Melinda Hughes is a British opera singer and satirical cabaret chanteuse, co-writing and performing with the composer and comedian Jeremy Limb[1].
Professional career
Hughes studied at The Maastricht Conservatory of Music and The Royal College of Music. She was also a soloist with the André Rieu Johann Strauss Orchestra from 1994-1997[2]. Her CD ‘Smoke and Noise’[3] specialising in the music of the Weimar composer Mischa Spoliansky was released on the Nimbus Alliance label in 2011[4][5].
Hughes also performs under the pseudonym Kiss and Tell, co-writing and singing satirical cabaret music with the composer and comedian Jeremy Limb[6][7][8][9].
Personal life
Hughes is the daughter of the film director Ken Hughes, who was best known as the co-writer and director of the 1968 children's film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang[10].
