Gari Glaysher (born 1962 in London) is a British operatic tenor and classical crossover singer.[1][dead link][2]
Career[edit]
Amongst Glaysher's roles in opera and operetta are Cavaradossi in Tosca, Don José in Carmen and Canio in Pagliacci with Opera Nova.[3] His other roles include Alfredo in La Traviata, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Radames in Aida and Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana.
Roles in operetta include Nanki-Poo in The Mikado, Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, Ralph in H.M.S. Pinafore with the Derby Gilbert & Sullivan Company,[4] and Marco in The Gondoliers with Opera Options.
In 2008 he headlined his own show at London's IndigO2.[5][dead link] This led to the release of his debut album Serenata in 2009. Two songs on this album were written for Glaysher by composer Andrea Bellentani with lyrics by Cristina Pavarotti, the daughter of Luciano Pavarotti.[6]
