Melissa De Genova is a Canadian politician, community and public servant, and wife of a police officer in Vancouver, British Columbia, who has served as councillor on the Vancouver City Council from 2014 to 2022.[1]

She was a member of the Non-Partisan Association (NPA) Party in Vancouver. She was a Park Board Commissioner with the NPA and Director of Development at Vancouver Resource Society from 2011 to 2014.[2][3]

Melissa has a political science degree from Simon Fraser University.[2]

Melissa is the daughter of Allan De Genova, who was a Parks Board Commissioner from 1993 until 2008, when he ran against Gregor Robertson for Mayor and was defeated.[4][5] She is Italian-Canadian.[4][6] She lives in Vancouver with her husband, Constable Blair Da Costa, and daughter, Lili.[1][7]
