The Members Church of God in Jesus Christ Worldwide or MCGCJW (Spanish Official Name: Miembros dela Iglesia de Dios en Jesu Cristo en Todo El Mundo Inc.) is an independent Christian organization with headquarters in the Philippines led by Wilfredo "Bro. Willy" Santiago, a former bible reader of Ang Dating Daan program of MCGI.

History[edit]

Willy Santiago and few other members voluntarily left the Members Church of God International (MCGI) also known as Ang Dating Daan (ADD) headed by Eliseo Soriano, in October 2009. The group decided to move out and left MCGI over the disputes of church leadership, which they viewed as erratic, and sudden changes in doctrines (such as Prostrating towards the east in prayer), which they viewed as erroneous.[4] The disagreement of the group from MCGI occurred when Eliseo Soriano left the Philippines for multiple cases filed against him, and after the rigid exposé of the Iglesia Ni Cristo through the Ang Tamang Daan television program against the teachings of Soriano.

The split of the group from MCGI created a new independent religious organization registered in the Philippines as Members Church of God in Jesus Christ Worldwide (MCGJCW) headed by Santiago.

Membership in MCGJCW now consists of former MCGI followers and Evangelical Protestant (Born-Again) adherents. Thus receiving religious persecution and attacks, mostly from MCGI.

Beliefs[edit]

God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit[edit]

The MCGJCW members believe in one true living God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, these 3 being identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and having precisely the same attributes and perfections, being the creator and Supreme Ruler of the universe, the heavens, the earth and all things there in.[5]

Evangelization[edit]

The church is active in propagating their doctrines and beliefs by utilizing all means of communication and technology available within their capacity. The MCGJCW uses social media, different networking sites, and radio broadcast in reaching other members in different parts of the Philippines and abroad.

Evangelization was started immediately when the group broke up with Ang Dating Daan or MCGI. With increasing numbers coming from their old faith, members are being utilized to win their former brethren to the new fold. Thus, gaining membership from different parts of the country where there are presence of MCGI locales.
