Background

Sage was initially working on an album for 2 years. However, the project was not allowed to be released due to the decision to drop Sage from the label. In response, he attempted to make an 8 track EP that later became a full album.[1]

When Sage was dropped from Def Jam, he was left annoyed. The title came from the acronym M.I.A (Missing in Action) due to the lack of songs released by him after his previous album.[2]

Sage dropped the single “Low Threshold” on July 26th. The album would follow shortly after on August 2nd.
