Menkes Developments Ltd is a family-operated business in Toronto. With deep roots in the City, the Company was established nearly 65 years ago by Murray Menkes, an entrepreneur and businessman, who initially wanted his business to be focused on building single-family homes. He was born in Toronto; his parents had come to Canada from Poland.[1] In 1954 he started a real estate development firm, Menkes Developments Ltd., in North York, Ontario,[2][3] which became one of the largest developers in the Toronto area.[4]
