Mercans was founded in 19 years ago in November 2003 in the UK by Tatyana Domovits and has expanded operation across the globe through its local branches and personnel across 160 countries[3].
In its portfolio, currently, it has more than 8,000 clients (5,000+ related only to Payroll engagements), in Europe, North America and Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, Far East, Australia and New Zealand.

Mercans was founded in 2003 in London, United Kingdom with a vision of helping global companies solve their greatest payroll challenges with a revolutionary and trusted global payroll technology solution. Soon after UK, Mercans has started its services in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe at large. Very quickly, the company increased its range of service lines.
In 2004, Mercans opened an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)[4], to support all of its multinational clients operating in the Middle East. The opening of the Dubai office was followed by the rapid growth of Mercans' operations and its service lines' further development. The company reached a new client base from other GCC countries like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)[5] and more countries in the MENA & Levant regions (Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Tunisia, Turkey) and the Indian sub-continent[6].
Mercans started operations in Latin America with its first branch in Argentina in 2008. In 2009, Mercans opened its second office in Brazil and, shortly after, opened another one in Chile. Compared to other international HRO and global payroll outsourcing companies, Mercans has the broadest footprint in the region with formal representation in fifteen locations spanning across Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Uruguay, and more.
