The Metal Tour Of The Year is an upcoming concert tour by heavy metal bands Megadeth and Lamb of God in support of the bands' self-titled studio album and Megadeth's upcoming sixteenth studio album. The tour was announced as an upcoming summer tour on February 10, 2020, on the band's Twitter page. Along with this, fellow heavy metal bands In Flames and Trivium will be serving as co-headlining guests for the tour. When asked if the tour would be canceled or rescheduled due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic in which many artists rescheduled or canceled tours dates, Megadeth bassist David Ellefson confirmed that the tour is "still going in motion" but it is unknown yet if dates are rescheduled, despite many of the venues either cancelling or rescheduling dates to 2021.
